Our Story
We are both veterans of the US Army, I retired in 2013 as a Master Sargent after serving 22yrs and my wife Autumn was a specialist when she got out to raise her daughter after serving 4 yrs. We met in 2008 and married in 2009. Together we have 5 kids between us . I began diving in 2019 and I became an Instructor in 2020. My wife began her diving adventure in 2021. We both have a tremendous love for the Ocean and Marine life. I was shop manager of Scooba Shack in Savannah, GA for 2 yrs and then GM / Lead Instructor for Bubbles or Not in Harlem, GA for 4 yrs. Once we moved to Florida in Dec 2025, we made the decision to open our own dive business, Fin-Tastic Dreams Scuba was born, and continue to share the love of diving with new and seasoned Divers.

Owner / SDI - PADI Instructor
James Currence
US Army Veteran and former LT with Pooler Fire Department. Began Diving in 2019, Became an Instructor with PADI in 2020. In 2024 achieved Master Instructor rating with PADI. Achieved EFR Instructor trainer in 2024 and now also an SDI/TDI Elite instructor. Married to my amazing wife and Co- Owner Autumn Currence for 17 yrs, together we have 5 kids.

Autumn Currence
US Army Veteran, Now works as an Ophthalmology Technician at the Gainesville, FL VA center. She began her dive journey in 2021 after convincing from her husband (and several Scuba Discovery classes). Now she is just as avid a diver as anyone. She became a Master Diver with PADI in 2024. She loves to dive and see Octopus, Sea horses and Nudis.
